Un poco sobre mí
My 12 year legal journey is characterized by exponential professional growth and intense personal development.
As a child I always had a strong moral compass and felt compelled to defend those who could not defend themselves. At the same time, I was in awe of other cultures, music, languages, religions, traditions, and of course foods!
Despite living in a small town, I made it my business to get to know people from different places and experience the world as much as I could.
Through rowing and travel I was able to experience new cultures and ways of life. I learned to speak Spanish and was fully proficient in the language by age 18.
In 2010, I got my start in the legal industry as a student/ legal secretary at a full service law firm in small town Ontario. It was then that I discovered my passion for the law. I found that I really enjoyed supporting and interacting with clients in addition to helping them to obtain their desired outcomes.
While I immensely enjoyed working in various roles in the legal industry in small to large firms, small towns to downtown Toronto, I could never shake the deep seated desire to become a legal practitioner myself and one day have my own firm.
I continued law clerking in Family Law, Litigation and Estates roles until 2021 and simultaneously, I have obtained a Diploma from Fanshawe College, a BA (Hons) from Western University, a Graduate Certificate from University of British Columbia, and a Graduate Certificate from Humber College.
I am a proud member of the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants and the Law Society of Ontario.
